Camp Blue Skies provides residential camps for adults with cognitive and developmental disabilities, including mild to moderate Down syndrome and Autism. In addition to the many recreational and outdoor activities available to our campers, we offer learning activities to address individual independence. Campers have opportunities to challenge themselves in a safe environment in order to enhance their interests and abilities while further developing their social skills.
When/Where - We currently have three Camp Blue Skies sessions in two unique locations:
Camp Blue Skies – North Carolina
Located at Camp Harrison at Herring Ridge in Boomer, NC (about 90 minutes North of Charlotte, NC) between Wilkesboro, NC and Lenoir,

Session 1: Sept. 30 – Oct. 4, 2012
(Session 1 is currently full, but please feel free to apply to be placed on our waiting list.)
Session 2: Oct.7 – 11, 2012
(Session 2 is currently full, with the exception a few open spots for female campers. Campers’ plans sometimes change over the summer, so please apply today to be placed on our waiting list.)
Camp Blue Skies – Atlanta
Located at Camp Twin Lakes, in Rutledge, GA. The Camp is approximately 45 minutes east of Atlanta, just south of I-20. (Map)
