On the Radio With John Boy and Billy!
We were over the moon when invited to be on The Big Show with John Boy and Billy! Dick and Kit did an amazing job sharing about Camp Blue Skies to thousands of listeners reaching from Maryland to Texas and down to Florida (including all the states in between!)
This opportunity was partly thanks to Matthew, John Boy’s son, who joined us last year for camp. Matthew (22 years old) had an amazing time even though it was his first time away from his parents for an overnight, not to mention four nights and five days! Listen here to hear the broadcast and John Boy’s touching version of the tough decision he and his wife made to let Matthew come to camp and why they are so happy they did.
But that’s not it! We knew many people would hear about camp but we were not expecting this amazing letter to be read by John Boy a couple weeks later about a mom who’s daughter is an adult with developmental disabilities. Totally worth the time to listen and hear this powerful story that really sums up why Camp Blue Skies was created.
